What is the misosphere?

Misosphere is the general term for the entire misophonia community and can include anyone whose life is affected by misophonia. This not only includes people who experience misophonia themselves but can include family members, friends, coworkers, and partners of people with misophonia. It can also include anyone whose work [research, art, advocacy, etc.] focuses on misophonia. The misosphere is large and diverse.

The term misosphere was coined by soQuiet founder, Cris Edwards, who has struggled with misophonia for decades. The term has unexpectedly caught on and is used informally in discussions, research papers, and articles about misophonia.
